Some 12,000 Cambodian soldiers have been deployed along the Thai border, with numerous heavy weapons brought into the area. On Friday, June 6, reports from security agencies in the Thai-Cambodian border area near Chong Bok revealed the situation along the Thai-Cambodian border, stating that Cambodia has increased its military presence in the border area and continuously deployed weapons, with approximately over 10,000 personnel. After the Chong Bok clash and the death of a Cambodian soldier, Cambodia sent an additional 3,000 troops as reinforcement, bringing the total number of Cambodian soldiers in the Chong Bok area, spread across Hill 745, Hill 641, and the Mom Bei area (Sala Trimuk), to over 12,000.
