After the Chong Bok clash and the death of a Cambodian soldier, Cambodia sent an additional 3,000 troops as reinforcement, bringing the total number of Cambodian soldiers in the Chong Bok area, spread across Hill 745, Hill 641, and the Mom Bei area (Sala Trimuk), to over 12,000.
