1973 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 With a Four-Speed & Fuel Injection
This 1973 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 has been fitted with electronic fuel injection; an aluminum intake manifold; the LT-1 solid-lifter camshaft that earlier Zs had; headers; and a freer-flowing exhaust system. This Chevy “has also been well cared for and garaged,” the seller notes.
T in the fifth position of the VIN identifies the 245-net-hp, 350-cu.in. V8 Z28 engine.
The stamped pad on the engine includes the correct "CLJ" for the Z28 engine.
The engine's originality is confirmed by the matching partial VIN stamping on the block.
A FiTech electronic fuel injection system replaced the four-barrel carburetor.
An aluminum intake manifold was also swapped in.
The upgraded stainless steel exhaust system’s pipes exit in the stock location.
A four-speed manual transmission backs the modified engine.
No prior body damage has been reported.
The exterior was stripped to bare metal, the seller says.
It was repainted in its original colors of Antique White with black stripes, he adds.
The paint remains intact with no cracking, he points out.
The Fisher body tag code confirms the original exterior color of Antique White.
The body tag also confirms the interior as having been fitted with black vinyl from the factory.
The standard black vinyl upholstery is unmodified and in "excellent condition."
The stock radio remains in the dashboard, but a JVC head unit is now in the glove box.
Additional gauges were added on the console.
Power steering and power front-disc/rear-drum brakes are fitted.
Steel 15x7 five-spoke wheels roll on BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.
